At Sunset View, our dedicated staff members love getting out and enjoying the beautiful spring weather. There are so many fun activities to take part in throughout Richmond, Pinole, and El Sobrante. The whole family will enjoy participating in all the springtime activities happening across our community.

Here are a few of our favorite upcoming activities to do this spring:

Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival

The cherry blossom is perhaps Japan’s most beautiful and iconic sign of spring. Celebrate Japanese and Japanese American culture at the 56th annual Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival from April 8-9 and 15-16. Visitors can enjoy a Grand Parade, live music, origami demonstrations, art exhibits, and more. For a full festival event schedule, click here.

Muir Woods

Springtime is a great time to see the majestic redwood trees at Muir Woods, a national California monument. These towering trees cool off in the freshwater Redwood Creek and can grow up to 275 feet in height. The park is open 365 days a year and everyone is required to register before visiting. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the park. Click here for more visitor information.

Art Market San Francisco

Art Market is the Bay Area’s longest-running art fair and one of the nation’s most exciting art events. Take in an inspiring array of international artists all in one place. Art Market San Francisco runs from April 20-23 and takes place at Fort Mason’s Festival Pavilion. Single-day tickets cost $35, and a weekend fair pass can be purchased for $65. For ticket information, click here.

SF Giants Season Kickoff

Our very own San Francisco Giants kick off their season with an entertaining home opener against the Kansas City Royals from April 7-9. Bring the whole family out to cheer on the Giants as we look toward another great season. For tickets, click here.

Spring Serenade Concert

The Pacific Boychoir Academy celebrates its 25th anniversary with its signature Spring Serenade concerts from April 29-30 in Moraga and Oakland. This year’s program will include selections from Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vigil. Ticket prices start at $30 a person. For more event information, click here.

We encourage all our neighbors to get out and enjoy the incredible spring weather, along with quality time with their loved ones. Contact our staff to learn more about our story or to plan a service with us.
