Born on August 25, 1991, in San Pablo, California, alongside his twin sister Wilasha, Lil Will was a beloved son of Marzetta and Willie Robertson Jr., and a cherished brother to Wiloni and Wilasha. He entered this world with a heart full of love and a presence that made an impact from the very start.
Lil Will was a warrior, not because of the battles he fought, but because of the way he chose to live. Though he carried the burden of Sickle Cell Anemia, he never let it define him. He moved through life with a radiant energy, never allowing his condition to overshadow the joy he brought to others. He laughed hard, loved deeply, and embraced each moment with grace. A proud graduate of Will C. Wood High School’s Class of 2009, Lil Will continued his education at Contra Costa College and Napa Valley College, later finding his purpose in education. As a Teacher’s Aide and Educational Specialist at Cypress Secondary School, he touched the lives of countless students, staff and parents.
Beyond the classroom, Lil Will’s personality shined immensely, whether it was his love for fashion, shopping, and or colognes, he always presented himself with style and confidence. His presence was magnetic—whether he was being the forever lead singer at karaoke or laughing with friends, he had a way of turning the ordinary into something special. His humor, his kindness, and his ability to bring people together were gifts he gave freely. His favorite saying, “Carrying On,” wasn’t just words—it was a testament to how he lived. No matter what challenges arose, he met them with resilience, faith, and a heart full of joy.
On March 15, 2025, in Vallejo, CA, Willie “Lil Will” Robertson III transitioned. His legacy is one of strength, laughter, and love, and though he has completed his earthly journey, his spirit continues in each of us who were touched by his light. As we reflect on Lil Will’s life, we are reminded that love never fades—it simply changes form, finding new ways to carry on. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit remains woven into the lives he touched, the memories he created, and the joy he spread so freely.
We, his family, will carry his light forward—his parents, Marzetta and Willie Robertson, Jr.; his sisters, Wiloni and Wilasha Robertson; his God sister, Courtney Thompson and God brother, Simeer McCullough. His niece, Jadah Robertson Conner, and his nephew, Dale Speech, III, will always hold onto the warmth and wisdom he so generously shared. His godson, Devin Simpson, will forever be inspired by his love and guidance. Even Staxx, his loyal companion, will miss his presence. Though he has transitioned, his love remains an unshakable force, and we will continue to honor his legacy, keeping his joy, love, and laughter alive in everything we do.
Rest well, our son, our brother, our uncle, our friend, our light. We will keep carrying on.
