William, “Willie” to his many friends, departed on May 14th while surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Musselburgh, Scotland on December 4, 1924. Bill had three passions in life, playing drums, playing golf and his wife Olive of 68 years. They were married in 1945, began raising a family then packed up their two daughters, his tools and moved to California in 1964 settling in Albany. After retiring Bill enjoyed getting together with his friends and playing an early morning round of golf at Tilden. Bill, survived by his wife Olive recently moved to Pittsburg to be closer to his family, daughter Lorraine, son-in-law Ron, daughter Lindsey, son-in-law Andy and his two grandchildren, Paul and Kayla.
Friends are welcome to attend a memorial service on Friday May 24th at 1pm at Sunset View Mortuary, Colusa and Fairmount Avenues in El Cerrito.
