Thomas Fletcher, a 31-year resident of Pinole died peacefully in his home surrounded by his wife and caregivers. He was preceded in death by his two step-sons, Mark and David Waid. He is survived by his wife, Caren Fletcher, his sister in-law, Linda Sehrt, and many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Redding, CA, lived in San Francisco and Petaluma where he graduated from Petaluma High School.. After attending college, he spent six years in the Air Force Reserve and was called up to active duty during the Cuban crisis. He had a long career as an Engineer/Estimator.
Married for 33 years, he adored his wife Caren, his home and his pets. Music was always part of his life. He was a drummer and enjoyed playing jazz and swing music. Thomas also enjoyed participating and being a member of many fraternal organizations: Aahmes Shrine, Bay Cities Masonic Lodge, Diablo Star OES, and San Pablo Sportsman Club.
Service is being held at Golden Gate Mausoleum Chapel, within the gates of Sunset View Mortuary, 101 Colusa Ave., El Cerrito on Monday, August 28 at 1:00 pm. Viewing will be held Sunday from 1-4 pm at the mortuary.
