Stephen Arquette Duran, 76, passed away on June 24, 2013 at his home in Covelo, California. He was born on September 14, 1936 in Plattsburgh, NY to Estaban Francisco Duran and Mary Ann Louise Arquette.
After high school, Steve honorably served his country in the Army as part of the 101st Airborne Division and then re-enlisted with the Air Force where he completed a seven year career with the Armed Forces. Steve had a passion for cars and spent many years perfecting his craft of auto body repair. He enjoyed being at home and creating beautiful aquariums for a variety of fish and was always up for a good debate on political topics of the day.
Steve is survived by his siblings: Shirley Wagner, Alan Duran, and Ray Duran; his children: Stephen N. (Kelly) Duran and Paul (Lisa) Duran and his grandchildren: Christopher, Camille, Misty, Stephen, Chelsea, Alexander, Daniel, Joshua, Grace, and Anthony. Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia McKinnon; his first wife, Carla Kathleen Neighbors; and his second wife, Ethel Evans.
A Catholic burial service will take place at Sunset View Cemetery, Fairmount Avenue and Colusa Avenue, El Cerrito, CA on Monday, July 1st at 10:00 a.m.
