Adored by his family and many friends, Roy passed away from sudden complications but peacefully with family by his side on September 3, 2014 after a rich life of 79 years, marked by 27 years in public service with the City of Pinole. This son of George and Myrtle Scott, raised in El Cerrito, is survived by his sister Pearl Phillips, daughter Deanna (Chris) Cook, son Darren, 3 grandchildren (Jeremy, Joshua and Cacey), a niece and 3 nephews (Denise, Dennis, Don and Dan).
Services will be held at Sunset View Cemetery 101 Colusa Ave. El Cerrito 94530 (junction of Fairmount and Colusa) at 1:00 pm Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014. Celebration of life to follow service at his home
