Ralph C. Farrar, Jr., 92, died Monday, February 15, 2016 at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
He leaves his daughter, Lynn Balsdon; granddaughters, Stacey Cormaci and Shelley Saunders; grandson Ralph Balsdon and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Ethel and his daughter, Leslie.
Mr. Farrar was born in Omaha, Nebraska and moved to the Bay Area as a child with his family in the late 1920s. He graduated from Richmond High School in 1942 after which he enjoyed a long, successful career in the Richmond area in the Automotive Repair industry. He was the owner operator of Pacific Body Works for close to three decades. Ralph was a long time member of the Benevolent and Protective order of the Elks and served as Exalted Ruler of the Richmond Lodge in 1973.
