Lifelong Albany resident, Phyllis Galbraith Morrison passed away Wednesday morning November 29th at the age of 83. Phyllis was adopted by Grayce and Hugh Galbraith and was raised in Albany and graduated from Albany High School in 1952 and UC Berkeley in 1956. Phyllis dedicated her life to the education of young children. She taught and worked as an administrator in the Berkeley Unified School District for over 30 years as well as founding Nursery Schools and being active in Community Activities. Phyllis was preceded in death by her ex-husband Jim and beloved son John. She is survived by sons James, Joe (Lori) and grandchildren Savannah and Cooper. Memorial Service to be held at Sunset View Cemetery, December 8th 2017 at 2PM.

Phyllis was as she called me "her odopted son" was one of the greatest women I knew. I met her in 1994 when my parents divorced and my mom and I bought a house onthe 800 block of Curtis street, Albany,CA 94706 where she lived. I still cant belive she is gone. Well R.I.P. mommas.
