Peter H. Tong, 87, passed away at his home in El Cerrito, CA, on July 16, 2015, shortly after suffering a stroke. He is predeceased by his 1st wife Susie, wife Grace and son Russell. He is survived by his sister Jane, sons Larry, Roger, and Bob; and 4 grandchildren. Born and raised in San Francisco, he graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in architecture. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, playing mahjong, eating out with friends and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an active member of the Community Alliance Church (CAC) in Richmond. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s memory may be made to Bay Area Rescue Mission in Richmond. http://www.bayarearescue.org. When Roger and I came to the alliance church in 2004 Peter and Grace made us feel so special that we thought we were so special!!!! Later we realized that both of them had that sweet spirit that comes from the Holy Spirit. At his beautiful memorial yesterday it was obvious that many people experience that special place around them. Let us love each other better because we have been touched by the Holy Spirit through Peter and Grace. What a beautiful reunion with Grace and Jesus Peter is experiencing. We will always smile when we remember you. We will look forward to being welcomed by you in our eternal home, Roger and Anka Deruysscher
