On December 8, 2022, Paul Matthew Radosevich passed away at his home in El Cerrito, CA.
Paul was born in Richmond, CA on June 22, 1956 to Virginia May (Bond) Radosevich and
Edward Carl Radosevich. He was raised in Martinez, CA and lived in El Cerrito for 33 years.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Elise, daughters Molly, Mira (Barrett) and Jeana (Simon),
granddaughter Sasha, brothers Ted (Stephanie) and Dave (Louanne), sister-in-law Barbara,
niece Emily and nephews Pete, Ben and Matt.
Paul was educated at John Swett Elementary, Martinez Junior High, and Alhambra High School,
class of 1974. He got his undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley in 1980 and MD/PhD at
Vanderbilt University in 1987. He did residency and fellowship at UCSF to become an
interventional radiologist and practiced with The Permanente Medical Group in Oakland and
Richmond for 23 years. He had a satisfying and rewarding career, during which he held several
leadership positions and introduced many new procedures in his field locally and regionally.
He was a deeply curious person who loved to learn and gain new skills. His personal interests
included cycling, abalone diving, mushroom hunting, agriculture, fermentation, wine making and
exploration of the natural world. He insisted on including his loved ones in his projects and
passions, otherwise it wouldn’t be as fun. He was devoted to his wife and children, supporting
them in all of their endeavors. He touched the lives of many via his close relationships with
family, friends and colleagues. He will be greatly missed.
Donations in Paul’s honor can be made to the John Muir Land Trust or Bay Area Outreach and
Recreation Program.
