I am so sorry to hear this. Nancy will so be missed. I knew Nancy at first in our babysitting co-op when they lived around the corner from me on Key. All the kids loved her. One early evening my then- 3 year old "disappeared" on his three wheeler. We even called the police to find him. It turns out he was "making his way" to Nancy's house! Nancy revamped the Kensington School Library with dedication and also the reading programs. She inspired us all. She loved teaching the kids at Ford, but Katie and Jeff were the foremost in her heart, whom she loved dearly.

I didn't know Nancy very well, but I knew her a little over a great many years. Our daughters were in Girl Scouts together and later on we were fellow teachers at WCCUSD. She was always a very kind and lovely person. I'm shocked and sad to hear of her passing.

Nancy was a beloved friend and co-worker for over 20 years. We spent many days cussing and discussing the school District and our working conditions. She loved her students and parents and did whatever she could for all for all of them.... even when it meant going outside her normal position as a teacher. She was there for her students.... She will be sorely missed in the Teaching and Learning Community of West Contra Costa County for many years..... We all miss you, Nancy..... Peter Perrault......

What a wonderful person, Nancy - I'm very sorry to hear this news, she will be missed. Although we lost touch with each other over the years, we always found a way to have fun together (many years ago). Katie and Jeff, I remember when Esther, Natalie and I lived with your family after our house burned in October of 1991. Your mom was there to welcome us vagabonds with open arms, until we were able to get back up on our feet. Your family's generosity holds a special place in my heart! -Greg
