Michiko Tanaka of Oakland, CA passed away, September 4, 2018. She was born in Los Angeles, California on August 25, 1930. She was married to Gus Tanaka.  She was survived by her Children: Steve Tanaka (and wife, Dorine), Mark Tanaka and Janine Lasala (and husband, Ray); also loving Grandchildren: Clint Tanaka, Stacy Tanaka, Dwight Tanaka, Malik Tanaka and Victoria Tanaka; also her siblings: Yasuko Utsumi and Mariko Utsumi.

Michiko worked as an Account Clerk for the Oakland Adult School. She was a member of the Sycamore Congregational Church of El Cerrito, CA. She also had a passion for Hawaiian music and culture.

Memorial Service will be at 12:00 pm, October 13, 2018 at Sunset View Mortuary, 101 Colusa Avenue, El Cerrito, CA 94530.
