My brother Michael did all the things in life he loved. He always loved photography, he loved to travel, loved hiking anywhere he could, had a job he enjoyed, he also enjoyed searching and finding distant relatives, and traveled all around the country to visit with them. Michael was always curious of where he came from. Family meant a lot to him. He had a good heart and wanted to make the world a better place.
Michael was my half brother and we both shared the same mother Shirley. He had told me and my mother many times that the best thing that ever happened in his life was being Mikayla’s father. He knew he was blessed the day she was born. From that time on I saw a changed man with a more positive attitude and direction. I know now he is in heaven with our mother Shirley and with other family. He was a good man and I know he loved his baby girl more than anything.. Never doubt that Mikayla…. Stay strong baby girl, he will always be with you….

Michael introduced me to his daughter, Mikayla, who I tutored while she was in high school. I worked closely with Michael and knew him to be an absolutely devoted father trying his very best, and also as her number one cheerleader. He would always send me excited texts in all caps when she aced a test or had a major achievement, even when she was in college! He’s gone too soon. My love and condolences to Mikayla and his family.

Michael was always a loving and great man to my family to the community and my kids .He will always be a blessings to each of us. Me and michael always had our ups and downs but at the end of day he was always there no doubt about it . He had open arms to not just me but my grandkids as well . We went to parks , beaches, zoos ,aquariums with him and it was just always a good experience with him . This has tore me down since the moment i got the news . May his soul rest in peace in the heavens from sunrise to sundown . i love you Michael
