Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lyndon (Lindy) Mewha. Daughter to the late Vito and Louise Addiego, sister to the late Jim Addiego (Bernice), Rose Bonkofsky (Bill), Ben Addiego (Jessie), Grace Weeks (Claude) and Frank Addiego. She passed away peacefully on October 17, 2022 at the age of 99. Longtime resident of El Cerrito, Mary was an active member of St. Jerome’s Church, Children’s Hospital Acorn Branch and Mira Vista Country Club (now BCC).

Loving mother to Stephanie and Christine, doting Grandmother to Joseph, Mary will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Survived by sisters-in-law Audrey Addiego and Patricia Mewha Brady.

She was a faithful friend, the kindest human, a competitive card shark and professional shopaholic. Her passing leaves an enormous hole in our hearts.

Funeral at St. Jerome’s Church, 308 Carmel Ave., El Cerrito, CA 94530 on Wed. Oct. 26th at 12:00. Private burial at a later date.

I grew up in the 50's and early 60's just down the street from the Mewhas. Both Lindy and Mary were the best neighbors and adult role models anyone could hope for. They made life brighter every time one saw and/or spoke with them.
