Marion Sophie Euranius

Marion Sophie Euranius passed away peacefully in her home while surrounded by family. Though forever 39 in her mind, she was 95 years old when she passed.

Marion, known as Nana to many, was born and raised in Berkeley, Ca. She met and married Carl Scott Euranius (who preceded her in death in 2007) in 1941 and together they built and lived in their family home in El Cerrito, where she remained until her passing.

She was a model and dancer, with an extensive portfolio, in her early years and continued to teach dancing after becoming a mother. She always carried herself with poise and elegance, but never lacked in humor or a willingness to have fun.

Carl and Marion were married 67 years before his passing. They enjoyed their backyard pool parties, cruising, and most of all their family.

Together with Carl she had two daughters, Sharon and Carleen, who in turn married and had 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Nana was proud of her daughters and found much joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her generosity knew no bounds and her compassion for all things living was limitless. She will be missed for her thoughtfulness, her passion, her acceptance and her humor.

To have known her was to love her.
