Yvonne Vanni (Gallettini) left a message on April 10, 2013:
I knew your father through my dad "Frank Gallettini" who also worked at Dagna's for many years before changing over to Luckys, El Cerrito Plaza. I even think that Marion's oldest daughter babysat for my sister and I oncae in awhile. You were so lucky to have your dad for so long. My dad Frank passed away 1981 of heart problems. My mother Antoinette lived in Albany on Ramona Ave until her passing 8 years ago. My husband and I live in Dublin and for some reason the Tri City paper has Albany memorials. I see the Rosary is at St. Ambrose where my husband and I were married. My father and yours were very handsome men in their day. Doesn't matter how old a love one it is hard so sorry for your lose.
Jerry Dagna left a message on June 3, 2013:
I worked with Marion was 14 years old at my grandfather's grocery store. I have fond memories of him cutting large wheels of cheese with a piano wire strung between handled then wrapping them in old school cellophane and heat sealing the ends with a flat hot iron. He would always sneak me a state and that is how I learned to like old fashioned sharp cheddar. I know how much he was loved. Customers always stopped to talk with him and he was always so helpful. I will pray for those he left behind. I know he will leave a large hole that can never be filled.
