Marie Viola Holm passed away peacefully on August 22, 2018 with her loving family at her side. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Paul John Holm in 2000. She is survived by her children Carol Slinde (Michael) of Antioch, CA, Michael Holm of Richmond, CA and Donna Shelton (Ken) of Newcastle, CA; brother Harold Bakke of Seattle, WA; grandchildren Kyle Holm of Pinole, CA, Kathy Neil (Vince), Heather Slinde of Pleasant Hill, CA, Jamie Slinde of Antioch, Ca, JoAnn Mello (Darren), and Rob Russell of Fremont, CA; great grandchildren Beca Neil and Brandi Mello; and nieces Lisa Bakke of Seattle, WA and Ellen Bakke (Matthew) of Seattle, WA and great nieces Aurora and Iris of Seattle, WA.

A native of Grand Marais Minnesota, Marie was a longtime resident f Richmond. She worked for the Berkeley Unified School District for 21 years and was a faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church in El Cerrito. Services will be private.
