Born in Verbicaro, Italy on April 5, 1932. Maria passed from this life surrounded by love on September 17th 2018.

In 1967 Maria moved from Italy to El Cerrito with her husband and two young daughters. She worked seasonally at Del Monte Cannery for many years, but her favorite job was a home maker.

She loved spending time with her family. Loved traveling especially visiting her family in Italy.  She loved entertaining, she was an amazing cook and her house was always filled with lifelong friends.

She was a kind and loving woman with a charismatic smile. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by her loving husband Beniamino.  Parents Carmine and Rosina Miraglia, and two brothers Giuseppe and Francesco Miraglia. She is survived by her loving daughters Teresa(Sina)Nicoletti and Rosetta Downey (Michael). Grandchildren Michael(Katie), Christopher(Heather) Nicoletti, Gabriella, Rebecca and Michael Downey. Great grandchildren Mia and Amy Nicoletti, Tameron and Titus Nicoletti. Sisters Carmela Silvestri(Pietro), Pina Voto(Franco). Sister in laws Giuseppina, and Carmela Miraglia in Italy. Sister in laws Mary Ciarabellini(John), Yolanda, Francesca and Elizabeth Addiego. Also preceded in death by in laws Francesco and Teresa Addiego, Grazia and Giuseppe Dito, Giuseppe, Mario and Guido Addiego.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 20th from 5-7 with the Rosary at 7:00 pm, St. Jerome’s Church (308 Carmel Ave. El Cerrito). Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 21st, at 10:30 am, St Jerome’s Church. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery in San Pablo.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association or JDRF(Juvenile Diabetes).
