Margaret Yiu grew up in Hong Kong and was the youngest of six siblings. She was married to Chapmun Yiu, and had two children, Helen and Ronald. Margaret and Chapmun immigrated to America in 1989, with hopes of providing their young children a brighter future in the land of the free.
Margaret was a fiercely independent woman. Her artistic talents and beauty were only eclipsed by her unwavering ethics. She taught us the importance of doing what is right, and exemplified virtue and purity of heart by how she lived. While she was not one to openly express her sentiments, by her actions there was no doubt how much she loved and was devoted to her family.
She quietly suffered a three-year struggle with lung cancer. The terrible disease was difficult to anticipate, but in the end it brought our family closer, and allowed us to demonstrate, and reciprocate, our love for her in ways that would otherwise be not possible. Margaret said her desire was to see her children happy, and was able to witness the fulfillment of that wish with her three blessed granddaughters.
Margaret passed away peacefully on 14 April 2022, one day before Good Friday.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, Margaret and her family would like you to express your love to those you value.
