Madeline “Peedie” Thomas was born on July 22, 1957 in Oakland, Ca. to Ajay Dockins and Claude Thomas. She was the youngest born to Ajay Dockins. In her earlier years, she attended Longfellow Elementary in Berkeley, California. She loved art and puzzles. In her formative years she attended and graduated from Kennedy High School class of 1975. She went on to meet Gentry Lloyd and bore her oldest child, Ajaya Laquece Lloyd. Later she went on to marry Ronald Ervin McLean whom she had her second child with, Danielle Nicole McLean. She graduated from Contra Costa College with a degree in Early Childhood Development. She went on to teach at Lake Elementary in the late 80s early 90s. She transitioned her career and became a Station Agent at Bart where she met Alonso Ward. She became a grandmother to Nigel Jordan Robertson, her only grandson in 1999, followed by her first granddaughter, Tatiyana Nakia Bush in 2003. Madeline loved globe trotting to places like Paris, Hawaii, Jamaica and New York. Madeline returned back to Contra Costa College in 2011 to receive her degree in Nutrition. In 2012 she was blessed with another granddaughter, Layla Nicole Bush. Followed by Amaya Thalia Vega in 2013. Madeline Thomas had a unbreakable bond with her grandchildren. In 2014 Madeline purchased her first home in Suisun, Ca, where she resided for 7 years. She was survived by her only sister, Gloria Jean Spencer, her two children, Ajaya Vega and Danielle Bush. She was also survived by her nephews, Anthony and John and her niece April.
