Lynn was born on March 23, 1945 in Peterborough, Northamptonshire, England to William Ernest Herbert II of New Jersey and Doris May Herbert (formerly Roberts) of England. Though Lynn was born in England, she spent much of her young life in Florida. Lynn graduated from Stranahan High School in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and then from Eastern Kentucky University. She became a teacher and taught in Okinawa, Japan from 1969-1975. She then moved to Tucson and became a respiratory therapist with TMC. Most of her career though was spent as a teacher for Amphitheater High School which she richly enjoyed. In 1995 she received a Master’s degree in counseling from the University of Phoenix and became a school counselor for the school district. In 1996 she married Philip J. Lauver, the love of her life.
Lynn was an avid traveler, exploring much of the world in her youth. She continued to travel after she was married. She joined her husband camping, canoeing and birding all over the world. She was enthusiastic about learning, exploring nature and other cultures and she devoted much of her time and thought to her family and friends. She will be sorely missed.
