Lucille Senechal, age 95, passed peacefully into the arms of her Heavenly Father on September 12, 2015. Formerly a longtime resident of Richmond and Citrus Heights, California, she was residing with family in Santa Rosa, California at the time of her passing.
Born November 02, 1919 on the Thomas family farm in Herald, California to parents Lucien and Irma (Thomas) Fisher, Lucille was the eldest daughter of their eleven children. She was raised in Placerville, California.
While yet in high school, Lucille met her first true love, Clem Senechal, who would go on to be her loving husband of 57 years until his passing in 1996. Together they had two children. Their son, Dan Senechal, resides in El Dorado County, CA. Their daughter, Kathleen Talley, passed in 2009 and is now reunited with both of her loving parents.
Lucille devoted her life to being a mother and a grandmother. In addition to her own two children, her life’s blessings also include six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. She was dedicated to ensuring that each child knew of God’s love and His gift of salvation for their lives. She lifted her entire family in prayer each day.
Lucille is preceded in death by her husband, daughter, parents, and siblings William “Bill” Fisher, Rollo “Jack” Fisher, Lola Strickland, Mildred “Millie” Routen, Dorothy “Dot” Heinz, and Robert “Bob” Fisher.
She is survived by her siblings, Lois Sharpe, Charles “Butch” Fisher (Jackie), Harold “Harry” Fisher, Nancy Morigeau (Leonard), brother-in-law Joe Heinz, and several nieces and nephews; her son Dan and daughter-in-law Dorothy; her grandchildren, David Talley, Cathy Anne Mattison, Steven Talley, Annie Senechal (Carrie), Wes Senechal (Erin) and Brett Senechal (Andrea); her great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicole, Jessica (Colby), Trevor, Linsey, Andrew, Emerson, Gavin, and Guadalupe; her great-great grandchildren, Peyton, Bethanie, Willow, Elliot and Madelyn.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Mira Vista United Church of Christ, 780 Ashbury Avenue, El Cerrito. Immediately after the service, family and friends are invited for refreshments in the church fellowship hall. Committal service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset View Cemetery, top of Fairmount Avenue, El Cerrito, Ca.
In lieu of flowers, Lucille and family have requested that any donations be made to support the caring work and generous efforts of Santa Rosa Memorial Hospice, 439 College Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95401.
