Lorna R. Freels

May 13, 1950 - April 25, 2020

Lorna R. Freels passed away of natural causes on April 25th of 2020.

Her passion for life was expressed through her 25 years of dance and love of animals. The very early years at Los Ayres Dance Studio of San Leandro; The Peninsula Ballet Theater, San Francisco Ballet, Ballet West – Utah and Joffrey- New York

Protection of both domestic and the endangered species of animals were close to her heart. Well studied in History and Theology. A dedicated retired employee of the City of Sunnyvale. Her death was preceded by her late Husband, David G. Freels. Survived by her Brother Rick Erker and Sister in law Deb Dashner. May her Heart and Soul be free to spread love, joy and peace.

Lorna will be laid to rest at Sunset View Mortuary in El Cerrito on May 12th.

Her favorite non-profits were Roar Foundation / Shambala Preserve and Defenders of Wildlife.

I was just thinking about Lorna today and decided to investigate her whereabouts. I remember her as a kind lovely woman and excellent dancer at San Francisco Ballet school. I was saddened to learn of her passing so young. I hope her surviving family reads this and know you have my deepest sympathies. Lorna was a jewel.
