Growing up, it was easy to see Aunt Lil’s admirable independent nature. Always kind to us nephews and nieces, she consistently offered generous hospitality whenever those of us not living in El Cerrito visited. She now joins Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Art, Aunt Pearl, Uncle George, and Aunt Nettie in heaven…and I wouldn’t be surprised if conversations there are a bit livelier as a result!--Randy Fong
