In Loving Memory of Lih Bih Liu Yeh
Lih Bih Liu Yeh was a caring mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She passed away peacefully at age 77 at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, California on January 12th, 2022. Born in 1944 in Saigon, Vietnam Lih Bih followed a school program at age 11 to pursue a higher education in Taiwan. She married the love of her life Chang Chuan Yeh when she was 23 years-old. They built a happy family together where they raised four children Tiffany, Tracy, Judy, and Jimmy.
Lih Bih was a teacher at the Xisong Elementary School before immigrating to the United States. The family settled in San Leandro, California in 1984. In America she shifted her focus and became a homemaker, while her husband stayed in Taiwan for work. She was known for her hospitality and great home cooking. Lib Bih is survived by her daughters Tracy Fok of Daly City and Judy of San Ramon, her son Jimmy of Trabuco Canyon and four grandchildren – Colin, Ethan, Nolan and Noelle. She is also survived by siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chang Chuan, and daughter Tiffany.
Funeral service will take place at Sunset View Cemetery and Mortuary in El Cerrito on Monday, January 31st at 10:00am Pacific Time. A lunch reception will be held after the funeral service at 12:30pm Pacific Time at Hong Kong East Ocean Restaurant in Emeryville. Burial will be private.
