With heavy hearts, we share the sad news of Laila A. Muna Mashy’s passing on June 6, 2026. Born to Abdallah and Ellen Muna on August 6, 1934, in Jerusalem, Palestine, Laila was the eldest of five children, followed by her sister Aida and brothers Mitri, George, and Farid.

A woman of faith, resilience, and generosity, Laila touched countless lives through her hospitality, service, and devotion to family.

She is survived by her husband of over 70 years, Issa; her daughter, Mona; her son, Ramsey (Maryse), and their three children, Issa, John, and Gigi; her brother, Farid (Doris) Muna; and countless extended family members. Laila will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude for all the love and support they have received.

Services will be held Monday, June 22, 2026 at 11:30 AM at Sunset View Cemetery in El Cerrito, CA.
