Lai Jean Wong, a 58-year resident of Berkeley and native of China, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Alta Bates Medical Center. She was 83. A Herrick Hospital employee for 20 years, Mrs. Wong enjoyed traveling and cooking.

Survived by her son, Fawn Wong (Betty Chinn); son, Jimmy Wong; daughter, Betty Wong; sisters, June Huey (Glenn Wong) and Lai Tuey Wong; and brother-in-law, Fong Yue Wong.

Funeral service Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset View Mortuary, top of Fairmount Avenue, El Cerrito, CA. Interment to follow at Sunset View Cemetery.
