Lacye Pollene was born January 31, 1937, to the proud parents of Arthur and Lennie Laura Wallace in Clayton, Texas of Panola County. She was the youngest of twelve. Lacye confessed to Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior at a very early age and was baptized. Her early education was in Texas as well as high school. While at Texas Southern University during her Sophomore year, she placed 1st place in softball. Besides her love for the Lord, mom loved sports. Her favorite teams were the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Cowboys. After college, she met and married Frank L Lawson Sr. They left Texas and moved to California. To this union, five children were born, Pamelia, Kelvin Sr, Patricia, Kenneth, and Frank Jr.
Lacye was a “Queen,” a beautiful person on the inside and out. She was highly talented and blessed with a loving and compassionate spirit.
