A few years after Sami’s death in london in 1985, Katrina moved to California to be near her 2 sons and their families; she settled in the San Francisco Bay Area where she thrived for some 25 years until her passing.
Katrina was a lively member of her extended family in the Bay Area where she constantly displayed a passionate interest in the Palestinian community. She lived life to the fullest until she suddenly succumbed to drastically failing health in early 2014. In addition to her 2 sons and their families who include 4 grandchildren and 5 (soon to be 6) great-grandchildren, she is survived by her brothers Sami and Fuad and her sisters Nada and Ruth.
