Kathleen Louise Graelish was born on January 26, 1946, in Albany, CA and passed away
peacefully on February 14, 2025. She was the cherished daughter of James and Louise Graelish
and was lovingly raised on 31st Street in Richmond, CA.
Kathy was baptized on July 7, 1946, and confirmed on June 26, 1954, at Holy Trinity Church in
Richmond, CA. She grew up alongside her siblings, Michael, Elizabeth, and Patricia and was a
sixty year member of the Order of The Eastern Star.
Kathy began her career as an administrative assistant at Blue Chip Stamp and worked part-time
at the Lighthouse Restaurant as a waitress. She later took on a full-time role as a food waitress
and bartender at V.P.'s Restaurant, where she became a member of the Hotel and Restaurant
Employees Local 28. Throughout her career, she made countless friends and touched the lives of
many customers. She also worked at the Broiler Steak House and Jasmine Restaurants both in
San Pablo, CA.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Kathy's lifelong passion for handcrafts and
floral arrangements culminated in the opening of Kathy's Florist and Gifts, where she could
express her creativity and bring joy to others.
As a caring parent, Kathy focused her life on raising a daughter, Lisa Louise Gutierrez. Kathy
did her best to help Lisa fulfill her greatest potential of becoming a mother herself to Raybecca
Louise Gutierrez.
On May 11, 1981, Kathy married Lawrence Ray Neptune, with whom she shared a loving and
adventurous life. Upon retiring from the floral business, Kathy and Larry traveled extensively
across America, developing a profound appreciation for the beauty and diversity of their country.
She delighted in sharing stories of her travels with friends and family.
Kathy is survived by husband Larry, daughter Lisa and sister Pat as well as an extended family of
nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
