John Alan Wise, born on January 26, 1964 in San Pablo, California, passed away peafefully on Friday, September 11, 2015 in his home in Albany. John grew up in El Cerrito and graduated from El Cerrito High School in 1982. After graduation, he went to work as a refinery operator with ConocoPhillips (formerly Unocal) for nearly 20 years. He later moved to the serene town of Weaverville, California where he enjoyed his beautiful home in the mountains. He later returned to Albany to be closer to his family and friends that he loved. John enjoyed riding his motorcycles as well as fishing and gold mining.

Survived by his parents, Ralph and Joan Wise; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Christy Wise; nieces, Marissa and Emily Wise; aunt and uncle, Judy and Ted Caulfield; and his cousins, Gina Caulfield-Moulder and Chris Caulfield.

Viewing Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 9:00 – 10:30 at Sunset View Mortuary, top of Fairmount Ave, El Cerrito with a funeral liturgy at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 308 Carmel Avenue, El Cerrito.

Dear Joan and Ralph, I'm so sorry to hear about John. I really enjoyed keeping in touch with him through Facebook. I have fond memories of John, even though I didn't see him a lot, I'm proud to be one of his cousins. We were close in age and when we did see each other, we related well.
