Passed away peacefully September 26, 2015 at the age of 84. Fiorlea was born on July 1, 1931 to parents Victor and Katherine Perero. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Edward Robert Canepa (Eddie) of 49 years. Fiorlea was a resident of El Cerrito all of her life. Fiorlea graduated from El Cerrito High School class of 1949, after which she attended Armstrong Business College. She was president and owner of El Cerrito Lighting, and a proud member of the Acorn Branch of Children’s Hospital for over 40 years and treasurer for 33 years. Fiorlea raised three wonderful sons; Victor Glenn Canepa (Paulette Barquis-­Canepa), Mark Edward Canepa (Fiance Otis) and John Paul Canepa (Esther Colgan-Canepa). Loving Nonna to her three grandsons, Michael Victor Sr., Aaron Joseph (Alicia Pacheco-­Canepa), and Jason Matthew Canepa. Beloved great ­grandmother of Michael Jr. and Neeko. Fiorlea was a member of the Handle bar, Fratellanza and Chix social group’s. Some of her fondest memories were her many trips with her family and close friends.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life with a viewing at Sunset View Mortuary on Wednesday, September 30th from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Liturgy at St. Jerome Church on Thursday, October 1st at 11am with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Acorn Branch of Children’s Hospital, 747 52nd St, The Foundation, Room 206, Oakland, CA 94609.
