Elmer “Pat” Neylon, July 2, 1921-October 11, 2015
Pat Neylon, a long time resident of El Cerrito, CA passed away peacefully on October 11, 2015 at his home. Pat was born and raised in Pinole, attended Richmond High School and later graduated from Kings Point Academy in New York. After graduation Pat sailed for Standard Oil for 15 years. Pat then met the love of his life Mary Carlevaro and was happily married till her death in 2007. In 1957 Pat and Mary had identical twin daughters, Tina and Kelly. After a brief illness, Tina passed away in 1989. Pat and his wife Mary opened a Sporting Goods Store which continues today in Albany, CA known as “Mary and Joe’s Sporting Goods”. Pat is survived by his daughter Kelly Neylon Battaglieri. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19 from 4:00-7:00p.m. at Sunset View Mortuary, 101 Colusa Ave. in El Cerrito. Mass Of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, October 20 at 10:00a.m. at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, 308 Carmel Ave., El Cerrito. Celebration of Mass will be conducted by Father Fernando Jose Cortez. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, San Pablo. A reception will be held following the service at The Eagles Club, 3223 Carlson Blvd, El Cerrito, In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1700 Webster St., Oakland, CA 94616 or cancer.org.
