Elgin Lee Paschal was born to Andrew Lee and Rosa Bell Wilkerson in Ruston, LA on November 10, 1935 and passed away on May 14, 2017 in Oakland, CA. Elgin excelled in track at McClylond’s High School in Oakland. He continued to compete in track after enlisting in the United States Army. Mr. Paschal was a cook at U. C. Berkeley for over 25 years. Elgin is survived by two sisters; Aileen Jackson of Los Angeles, CA and Joyce Robinson of Oakland, CA. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset View Cemetery. Pastor Curtis Robinson presiding. Military Honors will be provided by The United States Army. The Repast will be held at the residence of Joyce Robinson immediately following the graveside service.
