My heart goes out to Doris. I've recently started taking my own health seriously and have been running at Point Pinole. Doris' bench is always waiting there by the pier to offer me a moment of rest and a beautiful view. In those moments, I imagine Doris is there with me and I try to imagine the kind of advice she'd offer me. I may not have known her in life, but she undoubtedly left a positive impact on others and continues to do so today.
