My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Dennis Handis. I saw him a few weeks ago and we shared a very sincere hug. He was a great guy who had a winsome smile for all he encountered. Thank you Dennis for allowing me to have the best office of my career. Smiles for the great memories.

Dennis was chief probation officer in Stockton when I was chief in neighboring Sacramento. We were also both alumni of alameda county probation. A great, first rate guy who made many contributions to our field.
