Dean Walter Parker

October 16, 1961 - June 18, 2019

Age 57. He passed away at home on June 18th in Davis, California. Dean was the loving son of Ken and Gay Parker and the father of Jacob.

He was born to Ken and Gay Parker on October 16th, 1961 in Berkeley, California. The family moved to El Sobrante in 1963. Dean attended De Anza High School in Richmond, California where he played drums for the marching band and the jazz band. He graduated from De Anza High in 1980. Dean also lived briefly in Jackson Hole, Wyoming before moving to Davis, California. Dean loved to fish, especially at Lake Berryessa. He also liked visiting the Old Sacramento Waterfront District and other nearby places of historical interest. Dean worked for the San Pablo Protective Agency as a security guard. He trained a service dog, Lulu, completing a training course with Lulu in North Carolina.

Dean is survived by his son Jacob and his mother, Elzanna Gay Parker. He will be deeply missed and forever loved. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter.

First met in 2006 and became friends immediately. I got a dog in 2007, she's still with me her name is Soap, and Dean was always happy to see us and ask how shes doing- wasn't talking to me but directly to my dog. We miss him already
