She was born Cindy Bobbi Marshall on May 11, 1959 to the late James Robert Marshall, a truck driver and the late Peggy Mary Archuletta, at Albany Hospital in Albany, CA.

Cindy graduated El Cerrito High School. Cindy went on to pursue her love of animals throughout the years from breeding AKC show dogs to becoming a doting cat mom with numerous cats, as well as goats, which she loved raising throughout the years on her property in Middletown, CA. She was a true “Bay Area girl at heart”-spending her years between the Santa Cruz mountains and the Russian river. She was a regular at Sears Point in Sonoma and had a passion for NASCAR racing.

Cindy is survived by her husband James Michael Guthrie of El Cerrito and Middletown, CA, Siblings Marc and Kathy Marshall of El Sobrante, Raymond and Anne Marshall of San Jose, Katy Marshall of San Francisco, and Linda and Curt Swartz of Livermore. Cindy has numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister Lena Nicole Marshall of Georgia.

Friends and family are invited to attend her celebration of life services at Sunset View Mortuary and Cemetery at 101 Colusa Ave., El Cerrito, CA on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite animal rescue in Cindy’s honor.
