I will always remember the many many times we talked about our upcoming retirement from the Sheriff's Department. We spent so much time talking about traveling the world. There were so many places he wanted to see. I can say to him that I will carry him everyplace I go from here on.
Whenever we spoke on the phone, he or I would start the conversation with the question, "are you in country". A private joke we enjoyed for years.
I better man I have never known. Will miss you Carl...
