Ben Mitsugi Hirano, age 100, passed away peacefully at his home in Richmond, CA on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. He was born in Martinez, CA and raised in San Francisco.
He served honorably in the United States Army from 1944 to 1971, predominately in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He was a veteran of World War ll, the Korean and Vietnam wars.
He was a man of faith and a loving and devoted father to his family and devoted to his friends.
Ben is survived by his wife, Nikki N (Ohashi) Hirano; son, Richard R Hirano; and granddaughter, Tiffany A (Hirano) Alberti.
Memorial services will be held at Sunset View Cemetery on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 12:30 PM.
