Anthonette Angelina was born to Harry and Teresa Tezzi. Named after her paternal grandfather Dalmatzo Anthony Tezzi and paternal grandmother Angelina Tezzi. Toni was a resident of El Cerrito her entire life. Toni and Don met in junior high and began dating in high school, that was the beginning of a Loving Relationship of a lifetime. Toni graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors Degree. Toni taught school while Don finished at Cal Berkeley. They married in 1955.

Survived by her 3 children, Steven Pryde and wife Debbi, Katherine Pryde-Navellier and husband Barry, Daniel Pryde and wife Hilary. Grandchildren Nicole Pryde Johnson and husband Dan, Mia Navellier, Noelle Pryde, Allison Navellier, and fiance Charles Anderson, Haley Pryde, Molly Pryde and great grandson Brock Johnson. Also survived by Toni’s brother-in-law David Pryde and his wife Marvelle and niece Julie Pryde, nephew Jefferey Pryde, and many more loving family and friends.

Toni taught school until Steven was born in 1956. Then Toni became a mother and housewife. This is the job she took most seriously and the job that she enjoyed like no other. Toni’s family was always first and foremost in her life.

Toni was a volunteer in Children’s Hospital Acorn Branch for over 55 years. She enjoyed the many hours of time devoted to the branch. Her dear friends that she worked side by side with for more than 50 years were cherished moments. Toni was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She will be Deeply Missed…

A memorial tribute to Toni will be held Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 11:00am at Sunset View Cemetery, 101 Colusa Ave., El Cerrito. Contributions in her memory may be made to Acorn Branch of Children’s Hospital, or Okizu, an organization supporting families of children with cancer.
