Dear Carol, Ellen, and Paul, The last time I saw your mom was on our big trip cross country in 1976. I really did not know her well, but what I remember was her cheerfulness. She and Uncle Bob seemed happy and proud of all of you. I always like to tell friends that my Aunt and Uncle (Annie and Bob) gave my husband and I $1 for our wedding gift. It was 1989 and the silver dollar was 1889. I never actually looked up its value, but I still think that is so cool. With both your parents gone, you are "orphans." Please know that you have lots of cousins - look us up when you come East. I'll put the teapot on. Come curl up with a good book and my cat. You can tell me all the good stories about your mom! Congrats on the recent marriage of Nathan and Tabitha. I'm thinking of you with sincere sympathy. Cousin Doreen Olson in Maine

Thinking about my dear cousins who have lost their beloved mom. I last saw Aunt Annie and Uncle Bob at my wedding in 1983, when they came to CT all the way from California which meant so much to me. Eternal rest grant unto them, O lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.

I have a fond memory of visiting Uncle Bob and Aunt Annie's as a little kid: Going to the coin shop and out to Chinese food. She was always kind and I remember an infectious laugh. Peace.

Annie was a part of my childhood. She was my best friend's mother, and so, was a huge part of past memories with that best friend. I was over at their house almost daily, it seems and I NEVER saw her cross. She had a beautifully soft speaking voice. She did indeed love her children above all else. They were the most important to her. I will miss her, even though it has been many years since I have seen her. I did not know that she studied Journalism at UC Berkeley. I learned that from her obituary. A truly sweet woman. Rest in peace, dear Annie. The world is that much more dreary now, without you. Til we all meet again......
