Abe Quint passed away peacefully at his home in Albany, California on Monday, July 25, 2016 at the age of 88. He was a loving life partner, father, brother and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Abe was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in the year immediately following the end of WWII. He went on to enjoy a long career as a general contractor specializing in kitchens and bathrooms, working until recent years. He was a spiritual man who read his Bible nightly and was a faithful viewer of Dr. Charles Stanley’s Sunday television program.
Abe is survived by his adoring partner of many years, Emma Neuhauser; his sons Gerald Quint, Douglas Quint, Robyn Quint and Stephen Quint; sister, Rose Codeglia; nephews Richard and Chris Codeglia and members of Emma’s family who were also special to him; Emma’s daughter Michelle Perucca and granddaughters Ashley and Brittni Perucca and Em’s brother Tom Fry and his wife L.P.
Abe was preceded in death by his mother Sarah (Hyman) Quint; sons Duane and Ronald Quint and sister, Eva Hall.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Sunset View Mortuary Chapel at the junction of Fairmount and Colusa Avenues in El Cerrito. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
