A Life to Be Remembered一段值得記念的生命
葉漢平 (Hun-Ping Yeh) was born on January 29, 1945, in Gaoshu Village, Pingtung County, Taiwan, to 葉發妹 (Fa-Mei Yeh) and 葉雞 (Ji Yeh). The youngest of five children, he was an exceptional student. He attended National Chengchi University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in public administration. After completing his graduate studies, he served two years in the military.
Through a mutual friend, Hun-Ping met 游芳慧 (Fang-Hui Yu) in 1973. They were married in 1975 and welcomed two sons soon after. In 1979, the family immigrated to the United States and settled in the San Francisco Bay Area, which became their home.
Hun-Ping worked diligently to provide for his family, serving as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for over 25 years. As the only one of his siblings to attend college, he deeply valued education and took great pride in seeing both of his sons earn their degrees.
A devoted Christian, Hun-Ping dedicated much of his life to the Lord and to the Formosan United Methodist Church, where he spent many Sundays and free hours with his congregation and friends in faith.
He is survived by his beloved wife, two sons, and two grandchildren.
