Wing Bill Wong was born on June 18, 1927 in Guangdong, China. He finished middle school there and then taught in the local village. He moved to Hong Kong in 1948 and lived with his mom until she moved to the United States. He worked in a hotel and later worked at a garment factory. He married Yuk Oi in 1955 and had three children.
In 1971, he moved to the United States with his family to join his father and brother. He became a cook at an American restaurant. He retired in 1989 and enjoyed traveling to places like China, Taiwan, Hawaii, Canada, Las Vegas and the East Coast. He also devoted all of his time at the Wong Family Benevolent Association in Oakland and was the secretary for eight years. He participated in all of their annual activities and trips to other associations
He is survived by his wife, Yuk Oi, and three children, Kalman, Marvin (Darlene) and Kiu (Francis). He also has three grandchildren, Melissa, Melanie, Timothy and a great grandson, Ace. He always had a smile for his grandchildren and will be missed by all.
Private service was held by family so no flowers please.
