Wayne, graphic designer, artist, actor, and musician, passed away peacefully at home on March 29, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 29, 1932, in Baraboo, WI, son of Floyd Alfred and Alyce Grace (Evans) Pope, grandson of Anna (Hausladen) Evans and John Charles Evans. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a B.S. in Art Education; and the University of California at Berkeley with a Master in Fine Arts. Wayne and Alice Flores married on January 4, 1958, and raised three children in Berkeley, CA.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alice Pope, son Kevin Pope, daughters Lisa Pope Fischer, and Rita Pope, granddaughter Charlize Pope, siblings W. James (Victoria) Draper, Margaret Draper and Susan Draper, sons-in-law, Ferenc Fischer and Michael Middleton, cousin Thomas (Roberta) Evans.
Children Wayne Brian and Anna Maria, brother Keith Alfred, his parents and his step-father Walter Draper, preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 9 at the chapel at Sunset View Cemetery, El Cerrito, CA.
