Tsugiko “Kay” Young

October 10, 1934 - January 19, 2021

Tsugiko (Kay) Young left us on January 19, 2021at the age of 86. She was born on October 10, 1934 in Shizuoka, Japan. She is survived by her eldest daughter Diana and husband Ken, daughter Betty and husband Jim, son Norbert and youngest son Dean and wife Lyn. Tsugiko had 9 grand children: David and Elva, Jen and Dave, Ken and Kat Jimmy and Cheilo and Andrew and Kim, Mathew, Kathrine, Elizabeth and Natalie. She also had 5 great grand children: Darian, Tyler, Tristian, Andrew and Adrian.

Tsugiko slept away peacefully due to complications from the COVID virus. Tsugiko was a loving mother, grandmother and fantastic great grandmother who always loved being with her family and always playing with her grand children and great grand children. Her fantastic authentic Japanese cooking will truly be missed from her New Years soup, Sukiyaki, Yakiudon just to name a few. She loved to shop for fresh vegetables and taught her daughters and grand daughter many recipes. She survived the world war by living in the mountains in Japan with her mother. After the war, she married a US soldier and came to the United States to raise her family.

Tsugiko will truly be missed by all, a great wonderful and kind mother, grandmother , great grandmother, true friends to many. You will always be in our hearts and prayers forever Mom. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH! Thank you for bringing us into this world.

Oh gosh you were the best obachan ever. The sweetest person and the best listener. I'm going to miss your hugs, kisses, and smile. If I mentioned a snack or meal I liked, you would always have it prepared for me when I visited you again. I wish I spent more time with you. I hope you are happy and energetic up there. I will always cherish the memories I had with you. I love you so much.

Dear Young Family: We were so saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. She always had such a happy and infectious smile and laugh, you couldn't help but laugh. It's always difficult to lose a parent, but try and remember all the wonderful memories you've shared through the years; they will stay with you forever.
