Treasure Bell Hafey, of El Cerrito, died Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Cameron Park where she had been living with her devoted sister, Bonnie Morris. She was 91. Originally from Grass Valley, she came to the bay area at a young age to work in the ship yards, then drove military transport busses during WWII, and eventually worked at McFarlands and Safeway. Treasure enjoyed baseball, gambling, and decorating for the holidays.
Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Will Hafey, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Ann Hafey; and granddaughters, Meagan Gundo and Erin Hafey, and great grandson, Michael Gundo.
A memorial mass will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joachim Catholic Church, 21250 Hesperian Boulevard, Hayward. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to Snowline Hospice, 6520 Pleasant Valley Rd, Diamond Springs, CA 95619
