Ting Fai Lam was a native of Canton, China. As he grew up, he realized the importance of a University education and pushed himself to excel in academics and sports.
He gained admission into Taiwan Normal University where he obtained multiple degrees. University is also where he developed a passion for Opera and classical music, becoming an opera singer, choir conductor and athlete. In Hong Kong, he directed the choir of Cathedral Of The Immaculate Conception.
In the United States, he carried with him his love of music and directed the Chinese cultural choral group the “Dragon Singers” for many decades.
Post university, he became a teacher and developed a loyal following of students who adored him and followed him through his later life.
In University he met and married Tuan Pei Lan and had three children.
Ting Fai moved to the United States to raise his family and begin a business. He imparted his value of education to his children, who all matriculated and earned degrees.
He enjoyed tennis, cooking, socializing with his friends and traveling the world with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Ting Fai is survived wife Tuan Pei Lan, Lawrence Lam, Shirley Lam, Ronald Lam; grandchildren Spencer Lam, Charlotte Lewis, Melody Lam, Ella Rae Lam and Madeline Lam.
A memorial service will be held January 2, 2026 10AM at:
