Passed away peacefully at home in El Cerrito in the care of Annie on October 18, 2014. She was born in Fredonia , Kansas on June 14, 1926 and was a longtime resident of El Cerrito. She was a member of the Berkeley Folk Dancers, Berkeley Women’s Chorus, Berkeley Broadway Singers, St. Jerome’s Catholic Church and was a volunteer for the Red Cross for 40 years. Rosemary worked in the Kaiser Richmond Shipyard at the age of 16 as a painter.
She is survived by her sons Paul, Steve, Jim and Tom. Also survived by her grandchildren Kevin, Kristin, Julianne, Kaitlyn and Tommy, and by 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Albert. Rosemary loved dancing, singing, creating beautiful hooked rugs and was a world traveler.
Services will be held on Thursday October 30, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 308 Carmel Ave., El Cerrito, CA with burial at 1:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Cemetery 2540 Church Ln., San Pablo, CA. Visitation will take place on Wednesday October 29, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Sunset View Mortuary 101 Colusa Ave. El Cerrito.
